Compared to last year sampling months November 2009 to February 2010 to February 2011, page visits have dropped by 0.4. Also bounce rate and average time spent on website has also decreased by 1.2% and 0.26 respectively. When classified information geographically, all sample countries including USA, Brazil, China, Japan showed drop in page visits by 0.1, while UK and France showed a further drop of 0.3 and 0.4 respectively. In geographical context to bounce rates, there is a mixed response. 3 out of 6 countries- USA, Brazil, Japan showed bounce rates dropping by 6.1%, 2.9% and 9.0% respectively. While the other three countries showed a rise in bounce rates. UK showed a mere 0.2%, China showed 1.0% while France showed the maximum of 1.4%. Average time spent on a website has also seen a decline. France showed an eight second drop in average time, it is currently 4:40. USA showed a 10 second drop making it 6:06 seconds as the average time. UK showed 27 second drop while Japan showed 2 minutes 59 second drop, bring it to 5:38 and 3:47 as average time respectively.

On the other hand Brazil and China the developing economies show a rise in average time spent on website with an increase of 3 and 37 seconds respectively. It is presently 5:20 for Brazil and 3:45 seconds for China. Pages/visits through CPC has seen no changes and still goes strong at 5.6, followed by referral which has seen 0.1 increase to reach 5.0 presently. Followed by organic at 4.9 and direct at 4.9 both saw a decrease of 0.1 and 0.5 respectively. Talking about bounce rates for different traffic sources, the trend is of declining bounce rates. Direct sources have seen a decline of 4.0% and are presently 47.2%. CPC search has seen a decline of 1.7% and is 41.1 currently. Organic search and referral search both have seen a decline of 1.1% and are 47.9% and 43.1% respectively. Average time on site spent by referral sources is at 6:36 with a decline of 1:48 seconds as compared to last year.

Next in line is direct source with 5:21 seeing a decline of 7 seconds from last year, followed by organic search at 4:43 and CPC search at 3:57, both seeing a raise of 0.6 and 0.7 seconds respectively. Percentage visits from sources have seen an upward turn. Direct links increase by 0.3 from being 36.5% in 2009-10 to 36.8% in 2010-11. Search engine sources have seen an increase of full 1.0 percent from 27% it has now become 28%. Other sources have become 15.8% from 15.5% in 2009-10 with an increase of 0.3%. But referral sources have seen a decline of 1.6% and have dropped down from 21% to 19.4%. Google analytics also identified the various operating systems that users are using to visit websites. While windows alone looses 5.1% share between 2009-10 to 2010-11, other like Macintosh ,Linux and others all saw increase. Macintosh gained 0.7% to become 5.2%, Linux increased mere 0.1%, but other OS seem to gain 4.3% more users as compared from November 2009 -February 2010 to November 2010-February 2011.
